Here What Founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg Says.
This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month.
If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.
Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.
I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too.
The company said that now people have made 140 billion friend connections on Facebook and the median age of a user is about 22 as compared to July 2010 when user numbers hit 500 million then the median of of a user was 23. It shows that users of Facebook are more younger then 2010. According to some key metrics that Facebook has shared there are 1.13 trillion Likes since its 2009 launch (the actual numbers are higher then these)), 219 billion photos uploaded, 17 billion location-tagged posts and 62.6 million songs played some 22 billion times. The top five countries supporting this growth are Brazil, India, Indonesia, Mexico and The U.S.
Now it is more though for Facebook to get their next billion members, because at this time 2.5 billion people on the Internet and from these 1 billions are using Facebook most of the user’s of internet are not on Facebook where it is banned for some reasons. On mobile it has 600 million users who use it on their mobiles.
This is a huge milestone for Facebook, because in June Facebook had said that it had 955 million users, and 543 million mobile users who access the site on their mobile phone.
